Has anyone done any trading using a Blackberry? If so, what limitations have you encountered? What about speed?
I'm in the U.S. & trade equities.
Thanks!

I meant when it's working of course. I didn't say I'd be relying on it. I don't like being confined to my home to trade & I need something small, lightweight & portable when I'm out for hours or traveling.

The thing went down last night.

How could you trade with that ????[/QUOTE]

How would you have felt if you had bought 1,000 shares in RIMM and the thing went down and you had not put in stops ?

Quite frankly you could have been f***ed !!

Flayed that is, lol.

Service interruptions is a risk with any computer device, hand held or not.
Has anyone had the experience of interruptions being more frequent with Blackberry?

I haven't had any service interruptions with Blackberry yet, but that's only in 4 months time.

Erie, are you satisfied on the whole? What sort of limitations to your trading have you encountered, if any? What about speed?

Yes I'm very satisfied . Since I'm at work during the day I need some connection to charts .(no access to PC) Only swing trade for now. It's hard to communicate with a broker and ask what price is doing, he/she looks at things differently. ( doesn't take long to learn that) They may also be trading something different at the time and hardly look at the charts themselves.
It takes about a minute to get everything downloaded in the Blackberry so one can see the charts. It helps me with entries and exits , as otherwise one would be trading somewhat blindfolded. ( and sometime frustrated )

hope that helps
