Trader Monthly - $1bn earners

The latest edition of Trader Monthly has a section dedicated to the "Top 100 earners" for 2005 - for the first time individual traders have netted over $1bn in trading profits for the year - top of the list was T. Boone Pickens - an energy trader, followed by Steve Cohen who also cleared over a billion!

Impressive stuff!

whats more impressive is that to even be in the top 100, you have to have brought in more than $40m from your trades! The combined trading profits from the top 100 was $6.6bn! If you ever wondered where your losing trades end up, looks like these guys are collecting them all :cheesy:

Inspiring stuff that figures like this are possible, and definately an interesting read clocking the people who do these sort of numbers.

I think it goes without saying percentage returns would be a better guide.
1% return on a 100 billion pot would make it into the top 10. The only problem for me (nasdaq) would be slippage :cheesy:
