Slightly OT but I am sure someone here as an answer …
Over the last 6 months I have made some investments in property and small internet startups and am doing fairly well – now a fair few of my friends / colleagues want to invest in with me – this has led me to think I should (perhaps) look at starting up some sort of private equity fund. However what’s the law here – if its private, operates as a closed fund for select members do I need to abide by any regulatory practices?
