September - historically, worst month for stocks

It is interesting to note how the 1980-present average gain for September has remained negative despite the fact that most of this period included a strong bull market.

You are correct, Prices rise less than half the time during the fourth quarter.The trend is weak in bull and bear markets. In sept Mondays only rise a third of the time, since the 1930s also take note Sept 28th is the worst day of the entire years. since the 1930s it's only risen 28% of the time.
