Private messaging, is it private?

Which is private, sending e-mails through your control panel or private messaging? Or are neither private from mods/site owners? TIA.

I've 'run' forums before, so I know it's possible to see PMs and e-mails. If I want to ask certain questions 'off forum' they should not be accesible to others, a respect I always extended to members in forums I was part of/set up...and having sent Arabian a joke 16" black dildo I suddenly panicked that pm-ing him through T2W, asking him how he got on 'jockeying' it, might be misinterpreted by Sharky and Lightening Mc Queen....:cheesy:

i can vouch for that - as a mod i couldn't see either and had to report to sharky if there was any problem (people do report the odd unsavoury or spam pm).
