currently using a 2012 macbook pro retina, served me great, but it does get sluggish when l have my IB and Tastyworks software on, totally sluggish when open up my Thinkorswim as well. l need more RAM for sure, currently 8GB DDR3, high screen resolution an advantage to have more desktop real estate. on the cheaper end, would the macbook air retina with 16GB, be sufficient? or would a full on 32GB 15" macbook pro be the one? OR lastly should l just wait till 2020 as rumours going around macbooks go through a 4 year cycle, introducing a 'new' model then. my 2012 was the newest slimmest macbook pro then, and really worth the wait!
thanks for advice
