I have been home studying for my IMC and passed part one in early 2010. I've been trying to get my IMC part 2 since 2010. I took it twice and failed by very little both times, after which I took a break as I was expecting and didn't want to go through the stress during that time.
I recently got a hold of the new IMC part 2 books as all the material turned over after August 2010. My job is expecting me to pass this by June 2012 and I have started studying again, however I'm finding it really tough going having so little time because of the baby and so far the trial questions for the chapters have been total disasters! I don't have a finance background, and when I last took it I studied endlessly for months with any free time that I had and still failed
I'd like to hear from other parents who have achieved this. At the moment I really don't know how I'll get it done!
