Do you guys have any suggestions how to print a simple and clean chart, or series of charts on a page without any other things (such as my desktop) also being printed? I want to start a trading journal and would like my charts (with the lines that i draw in) to be a part of the journal for future review.

Thanks in advance.

If you haven't got a system/webpage that allows you to copy the chart only (which many do), then you can copy your screen to paint then cut out the chart, delete the rest and then paste the chart back and save it. Bit cumbersome tho'.

Thanks for your posts. I have downloaded the freeware, MWSnap. After reviewing its' features I'll make the decision to possibly go with SnagIt if things don't work out.

If you are using a windows based program,
click on the title bar of the window you want to capture,
hold down the ALT key and tap on the printscreen key
(release the alt key)

Open a paint type program. I like Paint Shop Pro.
Press Ctrl + V and the window that you just captured
creates a new paint window with your chart in it.

I like to put my journal notes right on the chart,
uses the text feature of the paint program.
I can type a few sentences, paste in on the chart and
draw a little arrow to the spot my words are talking about.

JO,
Can you post a couple of your journal charts for me to review?
