Is it me or has the FTSE intraday vol gone through the roof this week?

Can someone please confirm that intraday vol on the ftse has indeed increased significantly this week from last week?

domt think you can trade ft, only source for volume i would think are the ft futures. i have that on screen during m hours but dont seem to find it useful.

Try divergence on the 1,2 and 5 min charts.

It's all I use...... 👍

Divergence between what Nkruger ?

I use divergence with the SMI (Stochastic Momentum Index)
and the price (candles) although you can use RSi and ordinary stochastic as well. Try a smoothed stochastic as it allows you to see a divergence more easily. I also have a MACD set up given to me that works well.

You'll find an excellent example of divergence there. It's all you need to successfully daytrade/scalp as divergence is a leading indicator as opposed to a lagging one. Watch for trend reversal signals in the candlesticks as well and you'll get over 75% correct signals.

Divergence between what Nkruger ?

Attached is a footy 2 min chart showing divergence between the price and the stochs (bottom indicator)

This happens 2 ~ 3 times a day usually on the footy. If the divergence happens on the 5 or 10 min chart it is usually a stronger move.

Another screen shot attached ~ 2 trades on the footy this morning using divergence.

As I type, I'm still in the 2nd trade, got in at 5696 with a stop at 5705.
