eSIGNAL 10.5 SIGNIFICANTLY EXPANDS CONTENT OFFERING AND EXTENDS HISTORICAL DATA TO 12+ YEARS

Extended Historical Data, Hot Lists, Sector Lists, 50+ New Data Fields and Numerous Enhancements Added to Latest Update to Award-Winning Financial Software

HAYWARD, Calif., July 28, 2009 – eSignal, a division of Interactive Data Corporation (NYSE: IDC) and a leading provider of streaming, real-time financial market data, news, analytics and decision-support tools for professional and individual traders, today announced the release of eSignal® 10.5, a significant update to its award-winning flagship software. eSignal 10.5 enables active traders to manage their portfolios more effectively through access to a broader range of content and historical data.

Among the key additions to the software is extended intraday historical data, which dramatically increases the availability of intraday data beyond its previous limits. The update allows users to access 12 years of minute-based bar data for North American equities and indexes, and 2 years of North American, European and Asian futures, Forex and treasuries. The new extended historical data will be especially helpful to back testers who require large amounts of historical data to track the performance of their strategies across all types of market patterns and conditions.

Also included in the new eSignal 10.5 is Hot Lists, a powerful tool for scanning markets automatically and immediately identifying trading opportunities by highlighting traditional gainers, losers, and volume lists. Hot Lists also perform unique scans, such as the Unusual Volume, Most Volatile and Trade Rate Hot Lists, the last of which displays the fastest trading stocks in the previous minute. In addition, the new Sector Lists give users the ability to list which symbols are in specific sectors, create watch lists and insert symbols into a quote window for additional sorting and analysis.

“We are confident professional users will appreciate the sector lists and additional data fields now available in eSignal 10.5, and active traders in the retail market will be pleased with the increase in historical data,” said Chuck Thompson, president of eSignal. “eSignal’s goal is to deliver to our customers innovative new functionality and robust information to help them more effectively navigate today’s ever-changing financial markets.

Additional features recently added to eSignal 10.5 include:

Optimized Global Portfolio Window – allows money managers to compare the totals of multiple portfolio windows.

Shared Symbol Lists – enables users to move synchronized lists of stocks, futures, and other data from one page to another page or from one PC to another.

Forward / Yield Curves – enables futures traders and broad market analysts to look at comparative data across multiple futures contracts. Forward curve charts provide the user with the ability to view pricing on forward contracts for commodities, and the yield curve is typically used to verify the “shape” of the economy.

Snap Quote Bar – displays the quote for the symbol typed into the toolbar and can be placed along the top, bottom or free-floating within the eSignal interface. The data fields are also fully customizable to display the data the user specifies.

New Data Fields – contains more than 50 new data fields, including short interest, float, 12 month % total return, % insider owned, and 200-day moving average.
