Average spread in EUR/USD is 2 pips, so that will remove a third of your profit at least.

Interesting that I came here seeking advice - unless you trade CFD or SB surely you buy at the bid and sell at the ask - the spread is then profit not cost.

On your theory there is no need to trade. Just enter a simultaneous buy/sell order and take the profit. Think there maybe a flaw in this strategy somewhere.

Steve, what makes you say CFD's are different to 4x. Regardless of what you trade, you buy at the ask and sell at the bid. Make sure your backtesting takes into account all costs, slippage etc, or the results will be misleading.
