Hello,

I have been trading a demo account for over a year now and I done some self studying. I have from a very young age been very interested in a career trading full time and I personally, feel now is a good time to go ahead. I have been reading this forum for a while and I am aware that a lot of people think self-learning is a lot better than paying for training. I would prefer to be taught, rather than self taught and I don’t want to get into a debate with what is better. I have done a lot of research into this and found quite a few companies that offer training by paying. The one that stands out is Futex. I am aware of other companies such as GTC, TCA Markets (I am not even considering TCA) and Amplify Trading. The reason Futex stands out is because they offer full class room and trading floor training rather than remote trading.

Does anyone know of any of companies that offer face-to-face training such as Futex? I would like to avoid remote programmes as these do not seem to be any good. Does any one have experience with remote trader training? I have done my research and found a few but you may be able to come up with some more!

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I do not think there is another alternative in the UK . Possibly, the nearest alternative is a job on a trading desk of a treasury department or house trading floor of a very large institution.

Don't bother - All the facilities a Prop shop offer can be matched at home - And you keep 100% of the profits

Use the internet, learn your trade - And enjoy your trading life !!!

If you have the experience and funding you can trade in a prop shop and keep 100% of your income. Sadly people who are remote can be very remote and detached from just what is available.
You are doing your "homework" if you pardon the pun.
Sadly there are very few good face to face trading programs currently available, the fall out from the credit crunch mean there are plenty of experienced traders knocking on doors looking for new homes and so the need for new blood is very low at the moment.

Hi Ircam,

I started the GTC course in Jan (Remote) and the support has been second to none. They do everthing online even with the guys in the office you also have a chat room throughout the day where you get support and can ask questions. Beyond this if you don't feel comfortable sitting at home or you feel like you need more support or to just to talk face to face you will be able to spend some time in the office trading. I haven't felt the need to, although I know some people who have. In terms of the training its good you just have to have the discipline and persistance!!

PS. your choice to do remote or the office, GTC do both. Go for a visit would be my advice ...........

Hope this helps

Pete
