Cant decide whether to trade indices or not

The thing with the index is you can get carried away with it and end up punting a lot if you solely concentrate on it. I often trade the index but only as a hedge. If I am fairly long and the market is starting to come off I may put a short contract as a hedge. But I wouldn't solely speculate on...

    Switching to CFD's

Hi on Spread bet if you did £10 a point on the FTSE, you do on maxi contract which is exactly the same, a maxi is worth £10 a point,. On Equities £1 a point is the equivalent of 100 shares. So if you did £10 a point on BP you simply do 10 X 100= 1000 shares in BP. So you buy 1000 shares in BP.

What would be in the ultimate trading book?

I think the section on behavioural finance would be one of the most interesting for me. Technical indicators are an individual preference and many will make a case both for and against the various indicators and everyone will have their preferred ones. Whereas human emotions tend to be very...

    Anybody know of these Guys?

I’ve never heard of this company personally but similar companies I have heard of in the past usually have underlying costs etc. They give you a taste of what they want to teach you then they ask for a lot of money for the ‘full’ course. Or in this instance they may take a cut of your profits...
