I agree with the above comments, start off demo trading until you are consistantly profitible then move onto a micro account yet again trade until consistantly profitible. watch out for leverage it works both ways for you and against. Also search this forum lots of good info

One mistake that I use to make is not getting out of trades when the reason for trading them is no longer valid. I pass control over to hope and hope doesnt get you far in this game. Leverage use to be another problem. I use to think of how much money I can make. Not how much I could lose.

that is a very good post. i wonder what the failure rate is per market like Shares, forex, Options, Futures. It cannot be 95% in all areas. It would be interesting if one of those areas has a higher survival rate and why.
