Different versions of Tom William's book

Agree with DB's assessment. I will say that the older version is MUCH better than the newer Master the Markets versions. These later versions are little more than ads for TradeGuider software, and much of Williams' point-by-point trade analysis has been eliminated. If I were a conspiracy...

    Sticky Introduce Yourself

I'm from the U.S. Started as a stockbroker until the 1987 Crash eliminated that job (I'd only been at it a year, so didn't have much of a book built up). Then went to the screen to trade futures and got an intro to technical analysis. In the mid-1990's worked in Chicago for an options trading...

Does Sebastian Manby (VSA Trader here) post?

In looking over some of the older threads, I see many posts by Sebastain Manby/VSA Trader. Since I'm most interested in learning more about VSA-type analysis and trading, I was wondering if he posts here anyomre, or if he's moved on? Does he post or speak anywhere now? Also saw from the...

Random thoughts on price and volume

One of the (many) problems I have seen with so-called 100% mechanical systems is that yuo end up trying to quantify something created by human activity, and perhaps more importantly, human emotion. LTCM leaps to mind, as do Wyckoff's comments from 100 years back when people were trying to do...

    Analysis SP Emini 5th Aug

Perhaps I am wrong - if so, VSA trader can clarify, but I beleive there is a difference between market information and a trading system. While price/volume analysis will give yuo market info, yuo must decide how to use this to trade. Yuor comment reminds me of Livermore saying that the average...

Different versions of Tom William's book

Hi, Are there a number of differences between versions of Tom William's books? The latest version seems to be Master the Markets, but an ealier version is the Hidden Secrets. Is it worth getting the earlier version (if for no other eason than to be shed of the ads for Tradeguider)? Thanks!
