Technical Analysis Point & Figure Gone High Tech

I'm monitoring this thread as I am a long standing user of Updata. Nothing more to add other than that anyone with any queries about it should feel free to ask them here. Tony London UK

Technical Analysis Point & Figure Gone High Tech

Would also love to see some software to produce such charts. Although J de P never mentions it in the book he is a director/shareholder of Updata. Updata, not unexpectedly, has a geat point and figure facility. What is especially clever is the way you can (a) seach for favoured p&f patterns...

    Real time feed advice, please

Thanks Jerry, It is quite big and I could not download it the first time. It's still safe on my mail server so I'll pick it up later. Tony

    Real time feed advice, please

Thanks Jerry, Can you send me the Chalk and I'll start by changing the Green to Blue. I might then see about toning down the background so it does not glare so much. On the other hand the ADVFN one that some of us have been using is white and that seemed to work OK so maybe the white is best...

    Real time feed advice, please

Thanks Paul, So presumably that's two of us who would like blue risers. Not enough for a petition, but doubled already! Tony

    Real time feed advice, please

Thanks for the assorted suggestions. I've ended up with Quotetracker and IQfeed. The former is just what I want. It will be perfect when Jerry finds the time to give me a way of colouring (yes note the unusual spelling) my upward moving stocks blue rather than green. It is our little Old...

    Real time feed advice, please

Thanks Jerry and Paul, Just need to check whether my own (new) broker has a system I can hook into. I'll be back with any update news or ideas. Tony

    Real time feed advice, please

Thanks Paul, At first glance it looks like 20USD per month for a basic NYSE/NASDAQ feed. Plus 4USD for the two exchange fees. Do you use the Quotetracker software to display the info? Is it reliable? ADVFN is certainly not!! Tony

    Real time feed advice, please

Can someone recommend a good real time (live streaming) feed that I can use to monitor a portfolio of US S&P500 stocks, please. I currently use ADVFN, but it is costly and erratic. Thanks in advance. Tony G

    Halewood International Futures

fergaldo, I posted a while ago. I still use Halewood and find their CFD desk provides a faultless service. I trade UK stocks and US stocks and options. I would not use them in an advisory role. I don't know any broker that I would. On the other hand you can't knock them for trying. Maybe the...

    CFD questions

Australiaboy You asked:- 1) What happens if the CFD company goes bankrupt? Are my money insured? You were told you'd lose your money. If you have a CFD with a UK regulated company almost certainly your money will/can be put in a segregated account and this is ring-fenced from the funds of...

Which is the best CFD broker out there?

Fair enough. Clearly you are not the sort of customer they look for. Tony

    US Option analysis

JRich, As you know I was in S America when your first post came up. I'm back in the UK now. IVolatility still meets my needs - though I saw the US market increase my profits by 50% in the two weeks I was away and then kill all the gain in two days. Oh, the joys of futures! I am not sure what...
