    Richard Hill Forex Net Trap

Hi there, just wondering how performance of the modified versions has been over the past few months, given how markets have been affected by the the various situations around the world? Has 2011 been profitable? Any figures you can provide would be appreciated. I'm close to buying this...

Yep, same here. I've traded GBP/USD 19 times since 25 Oct, I'm down -175 pips on it. Though in fairness, I have managed some trades, don't whether the result would've been better or worse without my interventions. Last week EUR/USD hit stop 4 out of 4 trades.

Thanks, that has provided some encouragement. I'm just mulling over whether my current strategy (FTSE and 7 FX pairs) is viable, for say, on a work day when I'll be in lots of meetings and can't look at charts/results. Do I strike out those days and not risk it trading, or perhaps trade no...

Found this regarding best times/days to trade forex, think I will stay clear of Fridays, http://www.thepowhatan.com/forex-trading-times/ GBP/USD, EUR/GBP and GBP/JPY (2x range) all hit TP very quickly today, for +132. Had 3 others in play, but closed them all for +6 shortly after, as did not...

Yes, a bit of managing, made it an ok week. If I had cancelled all trades not triggered by 2:30pm, let everything run to BB stops/limits, and closing those trades that had not hit TP or SL at 6-7pm (at the worst point for me), then I would have achieved -108 (Mon +52, Tue +152, Wed -100, Thur...

Wish I'd stopped yesterday! Have nursed a few trades through the week, closed some for a smaller loss, banked other small profits. Finished the week +76, though was +212 yesterday. Today was my worst day so far, -137. Week's results by instrument - FTSE -24 (2 no trade days, adjusted SL...

I'd have to agree with you, if Thur and Fri look bad historically, then banking Mon-Wed would be sensible. However, I'm in today (though FTSE's a no trade), so we'll see. Good luck to all.

Mata Nui - ineterested in your point about BB going off a bit towards the end of the week. Do you (or anyone) have any stats that show how much worse Thur and Fri have been? Cheers

Yes, OCO orders set at 10am. - long above 8-10am high - short below 8-10am low (not close) I've attached the calculator I've made for it, based on the formulas posted by tomorton and others in this thread. When using this, only add data to the yellow cells on the main calculator sheet, the...

It was profit (target hit), I cut and pasted, but forgot to change the text. Yes, trading at 10am and using 8-10 range. I am factoring in the ATR for all my BB trades. For the forex pairs, I've been using the daily high/lows from my SB platform charts to calculate it. Don't know of an...

I'm done by ten past ten. All too easy at the moment. Nice to get off to a good start when real money's involved. Sure, it can't last, but realistically, I would be more than happy with a quarter of that everyday. As long as they're reliable, any amount of pips would do.

Thanks for clarifying. My results for the last two days. Mon 1 Nov FTSE +31 (Closed manually) GBP/USD -17 (Closed manually) EUR/USD +49 (TP hit) USD/CHF +45 (TP hit) EUR/JPY +34 (TP hit) NZD/USD -33 (SL hit) Net +109 Tue 2 Nov FTSE - No trade GBP/USD -25 (Closed manually) EUR/USD +37...

Though that seems very relevant, I must confess, I don't think I understand it. What do the 72 and 71 figures represent, is it, - when ATR was 72 (% of range) or more, 9 were winners and 1 a loser and - when ATR was 71 (% of range) or less, 3 were winners and 5 losers. Or was it just when the...
