How are binary options taxed in the US?

I see so it doesn't matter that they're digital options, they're taxed exactly as vanilla options? Also nadex has capped futures, how are those taxed? Anyone know.

How are binary options taxed in the US?

Sorry to have not been more clear. I was referring to Nadex specifically, which is a US operation and CFTC regulated "version" of IGMarkets.

How are binary options taxed in the US?

Thx, but what about CFDs at Nadex? Or spread contracts?

What advantage is there in trading with Nadex vs. IG Markets (US)?

Nadex shows only 5 point spreads in their "master" gold capped "CFD" contracts. Are you saying that if you started winning they would widen the spread to compensate? Would they widen it just to you or to all participants? I think they'd have to widen it to everyone right?

How are binary options taxed in the US?

Any ideas? I can't find any good info on this. Are they subject to being taxed for every winning trade, regardless if you later lose that profit in a subsequent trade, or do you get taxed on the net gains of all your trades for the year?

What advantage is there in trading with Nadex vs. IG Markets (US)?

I saw a thread here (IG Index/Binary Bet Rejections where one poster claimed that IG Markets was marking his account after he made over $10k. Given that Nadex is a CFTC regulated exchange, wouldn't that be illegal for them to do? I read that Nadex is actually owned by IG Markets, and as far as...

Is there any kind of split string function in EasyLanguage?

I'm dealing with a string that is comma or pipe ("|") delimited from an external DLL. I get this string back in Tradestation/EasyLanguage and I need to split it into an array of values. Is there any built in function for this in EasyLanguage? Would it even be possible with whatever existing...

Can anyone post an example of a C/C++ DLL that can be called from EasyLanguage?

I am looking for the c/c++ code for even a simple function to show how the signature is setup. I have tried many different calling conventions and can't get EasyLanguage to find the function in the DLL.

Does anyone have a way to read files from EasyLanguage?

Unfortunately I don't have access to the Tradestation forums. That is a shame that they don't make this public. After all the success of EasyLanguage in MultiCharts (which they receive royalties on) depends on this knowledge being shared.

Does anyone have a way to read files from EasyLanguage?

That looks promising, sort of. It has no documentation on the function calls, although I could find them by inspecting the file if I tried. But then again I don't like the idea of some random DLL that someone wrote and which is not a professional product sitting in between my trades, if you know...

Does anyone have a way to read files from EasyLanguage?

No, I'm not familiar with those. How do those work? Would that allow me to read in an external text file every time a Bar changes in the time series/script?

Does anyone have a way to read files from EasyLanguage?

No, I have EasyLanguage, it's built into my MultiCharts package and functions just like in TradeStation. The problem is that as far as I can tell there is no function in EasyLanguage to read in a file. You can output a file, but not read one in. I think this has to be one of the most basic...

Does anyone have a way to read files from EasyLanguage?

I am actually using MultiCharts, which uses EasyLanguage. I am pulling my hair out trying to write C Dlls to read basic text files, as it appears EasyLanguage has no way of doing this. I have not been able to get EasyLanguage/MultiCharts to find the function in my C dll and I'm at a total loss...

    Bungee Bets IGIndex anyone?

Why do you say that? The quotes are from Reuters or Bloomberg (I forget which) and they are not controlled by IG. Can't say that about any other FX spot broker, not even ECNs like HotSpot will provide you a 3rd party quote feed that defines the outcome of your trades. Plus these have limited...
