    Easy to read broker

I followed your example, but although I have selected English as the language, almost everything is in Spanish. My Spanish is not very good.

IG offer MT4, too. I'm using it to refine my Forex method in a demo account, and it is pretty wonderful after various web-based UIs which I've used over the last dozen years. But the margin is a bit hefty at around 500% of the pip size, and IG say that is a feature of MT4.

    best broker for MT4?

So how does a 500% margin compare across brokers using MT4? It seems a trifle high to me. That's tying up £500 for a £1 stake bet, irrespective of where I place stop loss.

    best broker for MT4?

The answer is here, should anyone give a damn: https://community.ig.com/t5/Suggestions/Margin-requirements-on-MT4/td-p/12800

    best broker for MT4?

I recently started playing (in a demo account) with MT4. What a great piece of software. With IG, MT4 accounts have higher margin than their own web UI. Is this a general phenomenom, or does someone else offer a better deal? Having £300-400 frozen for every position at £1 a pip seems a bit...

    Forex Trendy, any good?

I know, necroposting. Looks like the OP has departed anyway. But there is a misunderstanding here. "Forex Trendy" isn't a signal generator, but a cloud-based scanner which provides the best and second-best (and I imagine, more) trending currency pairs. It is marketed as a time-saver. Maybe...

FAQ How Much Money Does a Trader Need To Start Trading?

I'm flattered that you took the time to consider my case m8. A few things have happened during those years, but I will spare you the autobiographical detail. Yes, I'm using a demo account before getting stuck in to spreads. How would you approach it yourself? And you're correct, I am not new...

FAQ How Much Money Does a Trader Need To Start Trading?

For me there is a strong case for starting with nothing, or as near as is humanly possible. I have thrown money at brokers in the past (trading not spreads) and it isn't even fun to see them making as much as - or more - than you do. I'm trading a demo account on IG at the moment and I shall...

    Breakout - 15 Minutes a day - 10-20 pips - Every day - 95% profitable trades

A possible refinement occurs to me - if the pair is in a nice clean trend, then the target could be a little more ambitious, maybe? Given enough data, this could be backtested. I don't even know where to get the data for back testing these days, any suggestions?

    How I turned £3000 into £20,000 in 6 Weeks

This thread is a rivetting read! Aston you are a brave fellow whose feats I hope not to emulate. But how's it going, for goodness' sake?

Best Thread The 3 Duck's Trading System

Just 22 trades in to my 3 Ducks trial. Checking the 4H and 1H before choosing an entry point on the 5M is such a simple and effective discipline. Retaining the good Captain's rules, I am adding others as I go, like not taking the bait when strong resistance lies ahead of my bet...

Best Thread The 3 Duck's Trading System

In the interests of research and fun I decided to place 100 trades (on my dummy a/c!) using the Three Ducks rules, and to record interesting features thereof. The first one that struck me (trade #8) gave a buy signal on AUD/USD, but immediately below strong resistance around 7677. Would...

FAQ How Much Money Does a Trader Need To Start Trading?

Trading is bad for the health. So don't combine it with other bad habits like beer. And there's your fund - beer money!

Daily historical data for London ETFs

I get most of my daily data from Google and/or Yahoo. However, for ETFs traded in London, Google & Yahoo keep very little history - five days is modal. But I need at least 50 days, preferably 200. So, why is this? Does LSE not provide this information to Google/Yahoo? If not, they are missing a...
