Depends if you're in the UK and asking for tax reasons.... If you are then it's clearly delineated - Spread Bet accounts are considered gambling therefore are tax-free. This is easily checked by the HMRC as a bet is defined as having a finite life; hence Spreadbet accounts will never rollover...
