Interesting comments - I have been trading ( very profitably) with slm for nearly a year now with no execution issues at all, using a uk vps and several bots, trading various spot forex pairs; which makes the many poor service comments here rather puzzling. I am aware that one bot, which always...
Regarding previous comments on outages - all brokers will have outages at some stage - nothing unusual at all about that - IG used to freeze up with any major news announcement. All brokers will have slippage, re quotes and partial order fills. It is up to the trader to adapt to each. I strongly...
Well I hope you don't take all the marketing 'hype' ( not necessarily SL) as gospel with these brokers - I always research the regulatory bodies - in this case the FSA - for recent infringements and up to date account returns via Companies House to make sure my money is as safe and secure as...
Bit late into this discussion - apologies - I have investigated this area over the years and I broadly agree with what has already been said. Apparently no one has ever been convicted of not paying tax from SB earnings. Big companies such as IG pay huge amounts of corporation tax which may help...
gle101 I have no slippage problems at all with their SG MT4 after 3 months live scalp trading - what latency times are you getting to their servers? Obviously there is not point trading with huge latency - try to get it down to a few MS and that will probably do the trick..
TMT/FMT are having a rough tide through December which is hardly unexpected - this is still one of the best EA's in my opinion and will no doubt get back to its usual profits next year..
Very wise words - keep your finger firmly off the trigger and let the system take the strain - if you start watching trades human nature will almost always intervene by cutting winners short. If you have any doubts just reduce leverage to the point where you don't have to check your account...
No trade with TMT and ADR filter on SLSB which seems very odd..( Mark has recorded a win) - awaiting feedback from Mark..thinking of going back to FMT which was much simpler!
Well this goes to show that no system trades the same unless we all use the same broker and system parameters - each broker will have slight variations on their MT4 feeds, hence when it is a close call, as we had today, some will be winners other losers..
Overall it appears to be a winning...
No trade with SLSB - also trades with a 2 pip GBP spread - not that would have made any difference this time.
Downloaded the latest fix for TFT which I am trading with one target and ADR filter - this looks like the best option.
OK to openly promote an alternative EA to Marks original is not acceptable on the same thread so hopefully this will stop. Any variation to Marks system should also be discussed on a separate thread. This is for those traders who have purchased Marks system and are trading it according to the...
I've got 5 net wins for the FMT unaltered version on SLSB MT4 month to date after today's loss - pretty good for a complete set and forget. Overall I will be happy with 2-3 net wins per month - this system obviously has a market edge. It is very tempting to tweak and try and judge it trade by...
Agreed although I would add that any system which is profitable over even one year is worth looking at - many barely last a few months. There should be no issue providing you risk a set amount of your risk capital per trade, such as 2%, and don't get drawn into to betting your savings away if...
