    Is consistent option income possible?

Hi Dave, sorry for replying you so late. The uptrend is now over but who cares? WE WERE RIGHT!!! lol To be honest I am not too optimist for the beginning of the 2011. The first 2-3 months seem to be quite volatile and I am thinking to implement a bearish strategy or start selling covered calls...

Santa could support stock index futures short-term, but intermediate-term?

I am expecting big moves and a substantial deal of volatility during the first 2-3 months of the next year. The market should start trending up steadily around April. I believe that the market is going to rise the next year but the beginning of 2011 won't be extremely bullish. ps My opinions...

    Big Ben on the FTSE100

the FSTE is going to trade sideways now. Big moves have to be expected in the new year but at the moment you'd better off banking your profits and walk away

    Strong Dollar

well the fact that the dollar is not out of the woods yet is evident. Look at Yen futures but particularly to Swiss Franc futures they are skyrocketing. Usually those type of currencies (particularly the 2nd one) do not get too much traffic and the volatility experienced in this market means...

    Strong Dollar

the US dollar will appreciate against the Euro as soon as the new year begins. There is too much fear surrounding the Euro zone and people are still scared of investing in emerging markets economis and they will proabbly turn to dollar.

    VIX Pinch

look at VIX futures and Options prices for January and February they are around 20% - 22% most traders are expecting big moves early next year and my models are giving me the same forecasts

    Is consistent option income possible?

well trading options is pretty much hedging the position in order to eliminate directional risk. have you seen the VIX futures prices for January and February ? they decreased a bit but overally they are still pretty high....we might see some big moves early next year. my models give me the same...

    Weekly forecast for S&P 500

i think the price will remain where it is with minor fluctuations so the range should be 1230 - 1240 there are no other market movers expected until the end of the year so i don't think there will large movements outside the aforementioned range

    - volatility dead ? ? ?

forex markets are moving overnight but equity markets volatility is really low. However, if you look at VIX futures prices you will immediately realise that many traders are expecting volatility to increase sharply during the 2 first 2 months of the 2011. Volatility in equity markets, for the...

    us crude new trading

you better dont trade over news !!! build a more systematical approach and follow it !! look at the seasonality effect and researches in the sector (forecasts, demand growth, etc) dont take TV news for granted...the majority of people who trades those news lose money!!

    Crude Oil Trading

well the seasonality effect is quite strong in crude oil usually this market tends to have very long-lasting trends and it is true but the mid-term movements are more or less the same thrhoughout the year

    Perfect Wave - 2010-11

if the index keeps falling I do not know if the S&P500 will have anough strenght to get back to the 1230 -1250 take into account that we are almost at the end of this year and many investors will close their positions. so less volume and more speculative moves (which usually drive prices down)

    Weekly forecast for S&P 500

I think the Index will be around 1190 and all the fluctuations will tend to revert towards this number

    FTSE predicition end 2010

well apparently the index fell even more fastly than what i forecasted....today's session is quite meaningless, in my opinion, because US data pushed prices a little bit higher but not even 1 market managed to break important resistance levels. by the way my models gave me 5400. ergo: we are...

Addressing the issue of time frames

I thnk that it makes sens using at least 3 different time frames for an intra-day activity 5 minute chart 30 minute chart 4 hours chart daily & weekly chart are for long term analysis but you should place your trades using the 5 minutes one because of the volatility that markets have nowadays
