You could try ADX as a trend-strength indicator, or enter based on divergence followed by confirmation of the MA cross.

Here's a screenshot of Trend Spotter and Trendsignal when I had it. I changed Trendsignal's arrows to dots so you can see Trend Spotter's signals as well. And to me, the filter, in my opinion, is no better than ADX.

Thanks for the mention Sid. I would also like to note that it produces the SAME exact signals, they are not just similar. Looking through another forum, it seems that somebody coded something similar based on Abelesys's system. This too gives the exact signals that Sid's Trend Spotter gives. Oh...
