Yup , looking into that. Takes a long time to get an audited record with a decent slug of capital so need something to do in the mean time.

most of the systems are FX based , would take a lot to move that market. trade length is few mins to a few days max 4. Not really long term stuff. i agree no rebates , no fleecing with high desk and IT fees.

This is true, but if you work for any other prop firm and your not profitable you're simply out of a job. And you could be down 3k on training and another 10k or so on living costs. There would be a degree of faith for the new trader that our systems are better than anything than they could...

We obviously only take a cut if the trader is profitable , if they're not they haven't paid for office rental , training , walked out of their job etc. Initially everyone would be home based and would login to the software via VPN / logmein etc. We wouldn't back people who trade our systems ...

i agree IB's statements are rubbish - i did an FX swap GBP to JPY , finding that intial trade was a nightmare , no trade logged data etc. not impressed at all

execution traders are a dying breed. good to get experiance but not much else.

You all need to get yourself into the indusrty as soon as possible . Get a grad job in the next best thing , trading software , go work for TT , easyscreen , trading screen , portware , GL , etc etc. You'll get to meet a lot of Prop traders hedge , funds you name it. As what one post mentioned...

just buy a book on excel and write them yourself - takes about 5 min , very simple code and simple maths .
