What kind of spreads? Calendar or intercommodity? I am more into grains - you must know of new/old crop spread - and therefore the only spread I can figure with (say) oil is something like december vs. june... But I here to learn! :)

The minimum size is 25000 USD or equivalent in other currencies. Above that amount there are no "lots": you can trade 26000 USD or equivalent or even 25001 USD...

I do it with Amibroker; I have heard others do it with Sierra Charts.

If you have an account with Interactive Brokers you can use their paper trading platform.

Things keep coming on my mind as far as the discussion goes on. IB has now a paper trading account: its use is allowed to all those who have opened and funfed a trading account. It allows trading all US tradables as well as Fx on Ideal Pro.

One more thing... IB have recently gone to half pips, so the spread might be occasionally as low as 0.00005.

There have been plenty of complaints on other boards about the above: unfortunately it appears not to be possible.

Have been trading Brent futures with Interactive Brokers without problems; they don't handle options, though.

I have read this in another forum: Interactive Brokers is supposed to offer CFDs trading sometime this year. Anyone heard the same?
