    fxcm versus deal4free

For a couple of months, FXCM servers have indeed been cr*ppy around news annoncements... :frown: It goes well beyond occasional technical problems ("due to unusually large volume"). Seems like a policy to me.

Well, they call them limit orders. Strange, but one can get used to it. I can hardly believe you didn't try it earlier - to set an order to buy above mkt or sell below... I think you'll soon discover what e.g. instant fills or the possibility to attach stops& limits to...

Not a huge problem though - I can always open group price windows through "Favourites" and use the saved setups for...

Whom do you use to trade the forex?? 1 Reason Why??

The post you are referring to talked about differences for residents of Great Britain. Spread betting is tax-free there (according to gambling laws). Standard forex is taxed in GB. You've got to figure out by yourself what taxes apply to you in Canada. Or maybe some Canadian trader on this...

    What is ACM's agenda?

They increase spreads (even 30 pips have been noted) during volatile times. So much for guaranteed fills... I doubt I'd use them even if they were the only FX broker on earth. Luckily, there are others.

Yeah, but what about ACM' s spreads of several tens of pips around news announcements???
