Do you think futures are easier than options?

Right on about being non emotional when trading. I believe most traders would do better if they got rid of themselves. I realized that last blow up. My model is 100 percent mechanical. My trading record for last 7 is an anomaly. Long term positive expectations is where every trader should start...

Do you think futures are easier than options?

Hey traded futures twice for 8-9 months each. Traded every day. Traded the night desk. It was a horrible delightful endeavor. Unhedged futures contracts is Deffinently where the adrenaline gets flowing. I blew up twice, my money. I started with less than 100k and made and lost on average 4000$...

Interesting guys. I put my margin in a Segregated Tbill . Iron butterflies are considered a credit spread. You can never recieve a margin call trading a proper iron butterfly. Margins can only change if the margin requirements are raised by the exchange.

Do you think futures are easier than options?

Hey fellows. I traded futures twice. I started out using options as a hedge against my futures contract. The first time I did it I got a margin call. Reason it takes more than one options contract to fully hedge the futures position.they don't move at the same pace. Options are the lagger. Are...

Do you think futures are easier than options?

It only took me 30 years of study, observation, theorizing, modeling, trading my money twice, losing my money twice, thinking, learning all on my own, etc, etc. to figure out something that really works. Nobody will sell you a model, write you a book telling you what really works. If their model...

Do you think futures are easier than options?

Hey I am a static ally HEDGED seller of options on futures. I have no reason to say what my returns are. But I will say statistically my returns, with zero yearly drawdowns since at least 2002, are highly abnormal. What is your trading style. Good day

How much money do I need to start trading?

Sorry what ever you can scrape together to get your education is going to be your down payment on your education. You are going to have to work outside of trading while you are trading. You are going to have to continue paying your education as you go. So does everyone else who goes to school...

Scholorship even though you are new to trading, looking at your money that you are going to probably loose as an education shows maturity. Believe the statistics, out of the millions who have attempted to make a living off the markets over the last hundred years few speculators make it over the...

Do you think futures are easier than options?

Forgot blew up twice trading futures, now I am a seller of options. Limited upside and unlimited downside there is a reason this is all most know about the sell side. It was enough to keep me away from the sell side for over twenty years. I believe buying options is a good choice for hedging and...

Do you think futures are easier than options?

An edge in trading is an exploitable statistical advantage based on market behavior that is likely to repeat in the future. No matter what you do you have to have long term positive expectations. Somehow if you can matmematically quantify what you are doing the better. It should be repeatable...
