Thanks for the comments - very useful. In particular the point about the swing low and the fact its actually an inside bar (dont know how I missed that!). I know it defo not a perfect setup but I think the fact that it is an IB means indecision and the open and close very near the high does...

EURJPY daily pin What do you think of this pin as a trade? forms at bottom trendline - target fibs at 61.8 and 50.0%?? therefore entry @ 15737, SL@15611 with target around 15950 for an RR of 1.69. Any comments much appreciated.......

Yes in fact you would have had to move your stop loss upwards with the rising trend line otherwise you would have been stopped out by the bar before the pin bar.....this would require balls of steel and I know for a fact I would have just accepted the loss. I missed both trends as was going...

See that attached chart. An inside bar forms from the top of the upward channel. This bar indicated a higher probability of trend reversal and the fact that it has met resistance at the upward trend line makes this a high probability trade in my view. The pin bar then forms, with the nose...

In fact you could have got a total of around 70 points for the day if you'd played the inside bar that formed at 9am (exit at lower trend line that was touched by the pin bar at 2pm) and then the pin bar for 40 points.....did I see either....of course not, so easy to spot after the event!
