Elliot Wave Indicator for the FX market

Huh, wish I'd listened... Just installed the fxchartfull package and guess what - now none of my FXCM plugins work. Never again........

    FXCM

Maybe we don't have to worry about this any more, FXCM seems to have done a moonlight, trading station kaput, websites kaput, no contact with clients. What a farce of a company :( ps. FXCM's policy on stop/limit orders is clearly displayed on the UK website at:-...

Re: FXCM and that message ....... False alarm on my part :o Had a chat with them and it seems some people have had probs with orders not being filled during the overlap when data is released. They cannot guarantee fills during these periods, which seems pretty fair when you look at some of...

Does anyone else use FXCM? I just got this message from them 'Market orders only during volatile times please' which I take to mean don't place market entry orders around any data releases. Surely they cannot prevent anyone using what is, after all, a legitimate trading opportunity? Kev.

    Is this one Spot on?

No need to repost the sheet, its already here on page 4 of this thread. All I added was a couple of lines to clear the output before recalculation. i.e. Range("G11:Q1000").Select Selection.ClearContents Checked the trade times on a couple of random selections and they seemed fine. Apart...

    Is this one Spot on?

Hi FC, I knew about the slight prob with the VBA. I'm no expert but I added a macro to delete and repopulate the output each time it ran. I checked the output for the first couple of days and can't see anything wrong. Still get the same result of 1623 pips. Kev.

    Is this one Spot on?

Hi All, I downloaded 3rddawns excellent spreadsheet and started tinkering around with the parameters and was truly amazed at the effects this had on overall profit for the system. These were my 'optimum' settings (and before anyone reminds me yes, I know this is a 'fit' for the historic data)...

Lo all, Short on cable again but missed the start of the run at 6.30am gmt. Looking for that 1.8550 now and if it fails to bounce then next target 1.8475. Eyes on next news out of US due at 15.00. Kev.

Cable hit first target at 1.8660 and this gave key support all day, although this did dip to 1.8650 at one stage. Resistance at 1.8740 hit 3 times over the day. My first trade hit stop loss at 1.8680 after the 2nd bout of news from the US and after that I just kept it dead simple and followed...

Morning all, Short on GBP/USD at 1.8739 after poor figures on PMI/CC plus 60 min looking bearish/oversold and is that signs of a double top? Target was 1.8660, previous low, heading that way now and next target is 1.8550. Also short on EUR/USD at 1.2497 on similar results but watching this...

    Forex Trading February 2004

Hi Buk, lol - I have chased that nag a few times into the distance but only when dealing with shares, which believe me is much simpler than this game! With the current whispers re. interest rates, i.e. EU cut/US increase, quite honestly as a newbie and seeing the effect that this has had today...

NB, You still playing this one short? I thought some support was developing around 1.8715/45 but this seems quite weak taking it back towards the EMA but the news seems to suggest a deeper retracement is on the cards. Waiting to see response when the Asian market opens. Kev.

    Forex Trading February 2004

NB, Yes it was a typo, meant 1.8863 which was early low point today. I could not see any strong reason to place a short at 1.8890, which you obviously could so well done. I'm new at all this so please excuse my lack of proper terminology. The 1.8660 was the start of the latest bull run...

    Forex Trading February 2004

NB, Would never have backed this play, I guessed the earlier low at 1.8663 would be the bottom for this session but there you go. Was tempted to try a limit at 1.8660 when the fallback started but lacking anything tangible in the news I missed it. Now looking to see when this bottoms out for...
