The definition IB has evolved from the days when Locals on the trading floor pit were able to dominate the market price in the fist hour (see the Market Profile Trading A to Z) . Now the IB is more about the height and distribution of the opening balance.

Hi Mr Chart, Thank you for all the invaluable information that you have provided on this thread. As a trader of US Indices, I'm interested to hear why you trade US stocks instead of US Indices; is just preference or some other reason?

agrokid, Thanks for the info. The last time I spoke with Berkeley Futures they were quite friendly and not pushy at all. In fact they said I was welcome to drop in over at their offices down on Saville Row so I think I may take them up on that. As for eSignal I haven't used them for years...

If I use a Futures brokerage in the UK does that mean I can keep my money in £GBP, still trade US Futures Indices and avoid the [cable] currency exposure that I am currently exposed to by using a Futures brokerage in the US where my money is held in $dollars ??
