Joel Parker

Joel is a self-taught futures trader who has been actively trading various markets for over 15 years. While he also educates fellow traders, he still trades nearly every day in the emini S&P and crude oil futures from his home office in southern Oregon. His method of choice? Simple, clean charts using support and resistance coupled with reading the tape as a trigger for the entry. He has worked with clients in numerous countries and has consulted with a number of management firms and institutions who desired a better understanding of price action and order flow. Although recognizing the lucrative potential for traders as well as the lifestyle it can afford, he is keenly aware of the dangers, and tries to help his clients avoid the pitfalls that almost all traders experience.
