Nobody seems to have answered your question so I'll have a go. I think I know the system you're talking about, and if we're talking about the same thing then it has nothing to do with Forex, but rather involves electronic currencies like e-gold (an internet payment system). I'm not familiar...

Couldn't you use a spread betting company like IG Index for the short position, effectively you're not buying or selling anything with them but simply placing a bet on market direction so no interest to pay, as far as I know.
