    Daily bets after close

Hey, You know how IG Index lets you place bets, for example, on FTSE 100 to be up or down on the day and you can place the bet outside of LSE trading hours. Does anybody know of any other spreadbetting/binary co's who let you place bets outside of market hours like this? Thanks

    FTSE followers

Do you think there are any FTSE 100 shares which follow the trend of the FTSE 100 closer than others? For example today the FTSE opened down, what stocks would you say have a higher chance of following it? Maybe there is sector or industry? Any thoughts?

    Daily up/down

Can anybody recommend spreadbetting co's that offer daily/down binaries on equities/commodities/fx/indices? Already use IG Index and binarybet.

    Money Management

I don't know. Looks like closed markets give the option to set a stop (see gold) while open markets (see FTSE) don't. Which leads me to my next question, why is the FTSE not closed when it's 20:38?

    Money Management

Hey, thanks for the reply. Well I thought I did see that you can set a stop loss with IG, maybe I was imagining it, will take another look when I get home. I would be looking to use up on the day/down on the day, no screenwatching for me.

    Money Management

Been looking at binaries last week or two, been thinking about money management. I was thinking if I only take bets where my potenital profit is at least 40 pips, and set a stop on all bets (using IG here) at 13 pips, this would mean that every one winning bet would cover 3 losing bets, giving...

Technical analysis does not work as well as it used to

Well that's good, my strategy consists of support/trend lines and strict money management rules.

    GBP/USD exchange rate risk

Hi, If I am based in the UK and am trading US stocks and have a balance in USD with a broker or an open position (I have never placed a trade so maybe I am not understanding how the process works), I must run the risk of the GBP/USD exchange rate moving against me, especially if I am holding...

Technical analysis does not work as well as it used to

OK ok ok, I am sensing a bit of hostility here, no need to get defensive. A quick look at my previous posts will reveal that I am a newcomer to trading and technical analysis. I came across the above text (and there a few similar views out there) which concerned me as I have been spending hours...

Technical analysis does not work as well as it used to

"Technical analysis doesn't work as well as it used to. As transaction costs decrease, available computing power increases and the number of market participants increases, one would expect markets to become increasingly efficient and thus it is not surprising that the technical analysis should...

    Mortage/house price situation

Thanks for the replies added that link to my google reader. They paid 250K. I don't even know how much it's worth now, everytime I read a headline in the paper saying prices had in/decreased I would do a mental adjustment but lost track now. The value of the house is not even relevant...

    Mortage/house price situation

I asked this question on a few property forums and the best response I got was get the house valued. I was hoping to get some thoughts on my situation regarding a mortgage, I know at the end of the day the decision is mine but I don't really know much about property, could do with hearing some...
