    Top 3 Spread Betting Firms

But surely a non-DMA firm will make a market around the exchange quoted market anyway ? What do you think their market-makers are looking at when they make a price , I doubt they are that clever to guess it correctly ? Just because a spread betting firm decides to automate this process doesnt...

    Top 3 Spread Betting Firms

City Trader this begs the question "when is a bet not a bet ?" and it is an interesting point that you make. if an SB firm decides to hedge its own clients bets directly into the "real" exchange rather than make no hedge at all , does this mean that the punter is not actually making a bet as...

    Automated Spread Betting

Mechanical trading is now available as a spread bet with FuturesBetting, using either Scalper Systems or Ninja Trader interfaces. I couldnt comment on how this compares to what Tradestation has to offer because last time I took a demo of their product they didnt offer this functionality on Eurex...

    Capitalspreads Exposed

I think you will find that all SB's are "price taking" only , whether they actually let you work an order is a moot point because it will only get filled once the actual market bid/offer "hits" it. Leased lines

Mattybouy, Thanks, that makes a lot of sense. Bulldog seem to offer a decent range of products , but at the end of the day the most important point is that the line is reliable I suppose, better to have a few sluggish days than be disconnected.

    Leased lines

Sorry, I didnt make it very clear what I was asking. Bulldog offer a 1Mb leased line for £250 a month . BT Radianz also offer a 1Mb leased line but its £725 a month (30 miles from London). Are they the same thing ?

    Leased lines

I've just been looking into upgrading my current 2MB broadband connection with a leased line. Does anyone know if there is any difference between Bulldogs 1 Mb line and the same thing from BT Radianz. The price difference is huge (nearly £500 a month), why is this ?

    Prop Options Firms in London

Ok, so does this mean that anyone trading through your group automatically becomes a profesional trader as far as registration is concerned ? What is a retail trader ?

    Prop Options Firms in London

what is the difference between retail and profesional traders ? do the market-makers have any additional benefits apart from cheaper fees like they get on Eurex and Liffe ?

    Prop Options Firms in London

Blimey, I never realised there were so many ISV's to choose from. With regards to trading options electronically on the US exchanges are there many restrictions with putting in and pulling orders ? I have heard that one exchange over there actually charges you a fee for pulling an order, is...

    Prop Options Firms in London

I think what you are proposing could be a great idea, would you train options traders from scratch or do you look for people with some experience and capital ?
