I've had resting orders in GE-flys that got filled at fantastic prices - excellent opportunities when marketmaking combos last week.

I calculated the ratio to around 4.5 a couple of months ago, but haven't checked since. I'm trading it 1:5 - although this isn't a big strategy for me. One way of getting the ratio is compare the daily range (High-Low) of each contract over a couple of weeks.

I was thinking of spreading a USD-based equity index future versus a EUR-based index future, so these are two different things. But, you're right - there are some seasonal patterns in currencies for tax/accounting reasons. I've traded them a few times, with success - most notably AUD/JPY for me.
