I have this mental block from buying in higher than I have sold. For example, I buy XYZ for 10$ and then sell at 11$, but then a month later it is trading around 12$ and I see a good setup, but this stupid mental block prevents me from buying in higher than I sold. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Oh .. Sorry. They are US Treasury bonds. I thought that was obvious because I referred to treasury.gov. I'm thinking it might just be as easy as going to my local TD Bank or Chase and cashing them there. I suppose I'll call and ask. How would I know if they are collectors items? I'll check...

I notice every so often that a really excited stock can form a handle in pre-market and breakout 50 cents to maybe a dollar right after the bell. I'm probably not the first to recognize this pattern, but I'm curious as to why it happens. Anyone have any theory? It happened today with ZNGA.

Yea, I was considering switching to IB. I just didn't like that java chart package they had with the demo account.

Mainly US stocks and ETFs. I use USAA for now. I use td2000 because it's free and I actually do like it a lot better than some of the pay-for products I've demo'd.

That's not what I meant. I wasn't trying to compare the convincing. I'm comparing a stock/future/whatever to magic beans. In fact, magic beans are at least physical, if completely worthless. But a stock isn't even physical. I think yall are really convinced that they are magical.

Is it just me, or is trading stocks/futures/whatever, sort of like buying some magic beans then convincing the next guy that they're worth multiple times the amount you paid for them?
