Trading for 3 years, so still a noob.
Been paper trading since at school, then went live about 3 years ago.
Started my first spread bet account 3 years ago, and have given the companies numerous chances to prove they are fair and been shafted each time, mostly due to ridiculous margin calls which I had covered.
Made a £500 account into a £5000 account in a few weeks then lost it in a day...on more than one occasion.
I put this down to lack of discipline and experience, but more recently as those qualities got better within me I have noticed the spread bet companies can also be less than helpful in amassing any fortune.
Holding out until I have a sizeable chunk to invest/speculate with without the leverage as I found the margin calls became more and more ridiculous to my account with my predictions coming true but bearing little fruit due to being stopped out. Also remembering that smaller amounts need larger movements to be profitable.
