Basically I was just a regular working stiff who got tired of the daily grind and decided to do something about it. So I quit my job in the construction business and started trying to find creative ways to generate income. I discovered trading and gave it a whirl in early 2005. I was convinced I was going to be the exception to the rule that every trader blows out his account on the first try. I started off well, but eventually I lost my edge and, like everyone else, blew out my account.

I spent a couple months sulking around and dreading going back to work as the rest of my money ran out. To make a long story short I was eventually introduced to a friend of a family friend who had formerly been a trader on the floor of the CME for quite a few years. After learning from him a set of very basic, but very effective market truths I was able to come back into the markets and slowly gain profitability. By mid 2006 with the help of my mentor I was on my way to becoming a consistently profitable trader.

It is now 2010 and I have done pretty well and maintained profitability throughout the entire financial crisis. There were a couple of months around late October, 2008 through early January, 2009 that I was having a little trouble staying in the green, but I managed my money well and came out just fine. Currently I trade full time from my home on the shores of Lake Michigan in Kenosha Wisconsin.
