I have a business idea that is basically a stockbroker with a few unique features. I basically want to start my own platform, and from my reading, I need DMA with FIX API access. Does anyone have any information on providers which might offer those services?

I'm in the market to buy some shares and I have been looking for a decent UK stock broker. My top choices so far seem to be an IG stock broking account or a TD Direct Investing account.
I'm going to be relatively low activity trader so TD Direct Investing isn't idea as it has a £10 per quarter...
IG allow you to trade for 10p a point for the first 2 weeks and then 20p for the next 2 and 50p for the last 2. It seems a good way to lower yourself in slowly and get a feel for the markets. When your trading real money for the first time, theory tends to fly out of the window :).
While that is true, it can be a dangerous way to look at things. Feeling like you have to keep going could continue a downward spiral past the point you should have said enough is enough.
I think the number one golden rule in all of this though is never trade on credit. Only ever use money...
