What spread does your broker offer...

This kind of useless spam is why this site has so few participants left. First post on this ID and the spammer just gets away with it.... Anyone reading this spam should ask themselves among many other things, "If a broker is so dirt poor that they have to market by way of spam, instead of...

What spread does your broker offer...

You need to look at an average spread sampled over time. You need to trade when you need to trade, you can't let price move several pips while you wait for the spread to be what you want, so look at what the average is over a large sample size, as I did with MB Trading. MB varies from 0 to .9...

Which broker provides the best charting software?

NinjaTrader has its advantages too... chief among them being its broker agnostic.... I am not stuck trading with Trade Station Securities/Monex... I can even have multiple brokers on the same platform. Not everyone uses the programming features of a platform, but I do, and much prefer the C#...

Which broker provides the best charting software?

As much as I like NInjaTrader, if you are trading FX exclusively, the free TradeStation offer from IBFX/Monex is incredible. If I wasn't already invested in NinjaTrader, I'd take that deal.

Which broker provides the best charting software?

Yes. I use NinjaTrader. Some reasons I like it much better than MT4. 1. Program in C# and .NET... very mportant advantage to people who program their own indicators/systems. 2. Locally managed historical database.... I no longer rely on the broker/data providers historical data. I...

Which broker provides the best charting software?

I am sure you have other requirements beyond the size of the borders... Free Platforms I know of -- 1. IBFX/Monex offers TradeStation min. $2500 deposit, no lease, no trade quota for FX 2. jForex powered by Dukascopy Free. Alpari and FXDD offer to US Clients Very distant 3rd MB...

What spread does your broker offer...

Including commission I pay on average .7 pips on EURUSD in my MB Trading Pay For Limits account. I expect that to rise now that they have slashed the pay for limit amount..... but those trades are still free of commission and have about a .7 pip spread during the prime hours I trade. Maybe...

    Which is MAE?

MAE = Maximum Adverse Excursion. Worst price trade reached minus entry price. A Low MAE vs a high MEA means the lower is better at predicting upcoming price direction in favor of the trade.

    Virtual plug ins and Dealers

One great thing about NInjaTrader is you can demo it with all functionality except placing live trades through it with no time limit... the trial never expires. This gives you an infinite amount of time to learn the platform, which being extensive requires a commitment on your part to learn...

    Virtual plug ins and Dealers

Not all brokers use the virtual dealer plugin... such statements sound like the things perpetual losers say because no matter what they try they always lose.... therefor it must be the brokers fault. There are many reasons not to use MT4 at all... it's really a POS, compared to other platforms...

    Any MBTrading users out there?

Glad to hear it. The time you invest learning a new software package becomes a new skill that will continue to pay you back over and over again.

    Any MBTrading users out there?

Without running them side by side for a longtime and collecting definitive data it is not possible to answer exactly. I would venture to guess that if you compare the complaints of trouble reported on MB's support thread at Forex Factory, at least 85% are from MT4 customers.... maybe even 90%...

Statistical analysis, Backtests & automated trading : Which way to go?

When you don't don't know what you are talking about.... illustrated by your assertion the Java less advanced than C# and is your suggestion for a first language.... You not only make a fool of yourself, but you confuse the many people that will come onto this thread in the future.

Statistical analysis, Backtests & automated trading : Which way to go?

First, TradeStation is a fine platform... I bought a license for it way back in 1995 before they changed the licensing to leases. You will have a fine platform should you go that route. It has been around a long time, and there is a big ecosystem that has built up over that many years...
