    Two Screens

I run 4 monitors using a matrox G450 Dual Card and then 2 PCI cards. Easily done with a little guidance over the phone from a friend who knows. It was fairly cheap and has been totally reliable. You can buy a Matrox thing for 4 monitors, but its hugely expensive.

    D4F frozen ticker

Yes, I have had it since the last update. I also have problems with erratic and sticking cursor movement, delay and refusal to "click". It all seems to stem from the last update. From today's email it seems there is another update on Wed. I do wish they would sort the thing out before they land...

    The official LORD JAMLA thread

I think he is a nutter who slipped the institutional net.

    The official LORD JAMLA thread

Many years ago my Father (catsgrandad, I suppose!), told me that "those who shout loudest usually know least, and are trying to cover up their own inadequacies" Never a truer word spoken, and how appropriate to the subject of this thread.

    money/am web site

I tried Money/am Level 2 offering, which is less than a third of the cost of Proquote. I very quickly found out why and gave up. It did not work properly and was a clumsy affair which required masses of screen space and comes complete with the added distraction of flashing adverts on your Level...

    Property Price Boom

The regional differences are immense. We mostly hear of house prices in the S.E. of England, which over the years have seen massive gains and equally massive falls. In the other 85% of the U.K. they have constantly risen, with some periods of relative inactivity, but no real sign of any falls. I...

    Old Updata Customers

A friend of mine has Marconi at 43p and was waiting for it to go up. I am surprised he does not also use Updata and is waiting for it to realise its' potential. Personally I reckon Marconi has more hope. Not so much a question of barking up the wrong tree - more one of not even being in the...

    Old Updata Customers

Perhaps I have missed the point recently, but surely if it is so prone to failure, and hence causing the prospect of money losses, why do you all persist in using it. Is it not more profitable in the longer term to accept it is flawed, find a decent replacement (and they do exist) and move on...

    Using Sharescope

I have been using Sharescope Realtime since the first week it was introduced (previously on EOD). I think it is absolutely great. Does all I could wish for and the support and help (very rarely needed) is second to none. I use it in conjunction with Proquote Level 2 and would now be lost without...

    Old Updata Customers

I bought TA about 18 months ago. It simply would not work properly despite all their best (but feeble) attempts. Eventually I lost patience and demanded that they take it back and refund me. They made that as awkward as possible, however, when roused I am the stubborn nightmare customer from...

    D4F Down this Morning

I suspect the problem is not with D4F. I have been logged on since 07.45 and have done five trades so far with no problems or any loss of connection

    Finspreads prices

There are always excuses. It is my opinion that this is a modus operandi of Finspreads. They move prices, requote endlessly and if that does not work they appear to have "technical problems" that make it dificult for you opening or closing positions. It has gone on for years. Either they are...

    Updata V Sharescope?

I use Sharescope Realtime and have done so since it came out. I have had two problems in that time and both were sorted quickly. By contrast I tried Updata Realtime for a week and gave up on day 2. They were unhelpful and when you did get some help they were as good as useless. The system would...

Can you honestly make 10-15% per annum???

My input is irrelevant as I daytrade, however, my Father uses EOD and buys or sells on a longer term. To explain further, he is a retired Doctor, who had never used a PC until two years ago, when at the age of 73 he decided this shares thing looked interesting. He started off learning how a PC...
