I agree, although realistically it's a pretty tough business to get started in, especially competing with the likes of IG and BetOnMarkets who have been tuning their pricing models for several years. Some of the bookmakers have started market making on Betfair/Tradefair, which has helped reduce...
Yeah there's the distinction - BetsForTraders is "owned and managed by Trinitas", whereas BetbrokersBinaries is merely "managed by Trinitas". It seems as though "managed" means "operated by" in this context.
Well from your quote above, it seems as though BetbrokersBinaries is just operated by BetsForTraders? (whereas BetsForTraders is owned and managed by Trinitas)
Well the mere fact that it is a white label shouldn't be too much cause for concern:
1) It's common practice for spread betting companies to white label (e.g. Tradefair Spreads is a white label of Capital Spreads)
2) Betfair themselves had at least 2 white label sites (Yahoo Betting and Virgin...
Yeah worldspreads100 were a white label of binarybet, although (as far as I can remember) their prices were identical to binarybet, i.e. the profit margins may have been good enough to be able to pass some of it onto worldspreads100 (although as you say, only lasted a few months, so maybe not!)
Yeah hopefully the spreads on the Commodities and Currencies markets will tighten over the next few weeks - the spreads on the Indices markets are usually good and will only improve over time.
If you are live quoting though, how can you offer tighter than IG? Their spreads are usually around 3-4 points - surely it would be very difficult to make a profit if your spreads were only 1 or 2 points? (unless there is commission to pay as well?)
A couple more questions:
1) What method of odds will the site use? (binary / decimal / fractional / all of these?)
2) What sort of spread are you aiming for (in binary points)?
Once your pricing algorithm is well tuned you also may want to consider MMing on the Tradefair exchange - they just...
Cool - so will it be purely "live quoted" products (like IG), or will there also be bets which are placed in advance of the start time? (the only type available on BetsForTraders / BetOnMarkets)
This also explains why some of the markets seem to be very close to IG, whilst others are not as well correlated - on the well-correlated ones, it may be the case that IG are the only component in the weighted average.
The prices do seem to be fairly similar as IG, however they are not exact and are sometimes substantially different. As Tim_UK mentioned above, it may well be some kind of program doing a weighted average.
