    I work as market maker now for israeli stocks... Of course today we dont have pits and its all electronic, but there's still a lot to learn from this job..Saliba said he was the only guy who had put options on October 19-th 1987 and sold 'em for a very good profit

    all those who traded markets back in 1987, doesn't the entire situation at the stock market looks like it was in 87? Panic, no liquidity, credit problems etc... Yesterday the Fed, in a surprise announcement in Washington, cut the so-called discount rate yesterday by 0.5 percentage point, to 5.75...

    yes they're right, only Moving Averages DO work, all others don't... it also depends what time frame and what markets you trade, if you trade EOD Eurodollar market than MACD would work as well as Moving Averages
