    FTSE100 index : gaps,slippage and guaranteed stops.

Hello All, :D If anyone has a moment (and some knowledge on this matter would love to hear from you). OK, I am looking at guaranteed stops to prevent gapping but of course with all things in life there is a cost (obviously), I heard Gekko have free guaranteed stops but as just said, no such...

So have you got 9 longs at 2% each? that seems like an awful lot. If market takes a skip because of something like 'Europe' it is possible they will all dip with the market, no? Can you not narrow it down to choose the ones with the best looking trend? or strongest sectors or suchlike. I am...

:) Look forward to following looks like an interesting thread. I think I get the drift that if a stock is in an uptrend on daily chart you look to buy after 3 downward days, i.e buy on a new high after a retracement? Is that correct? Of course if this proves as interesting as it looks will read...

Best Thread The 3 Duck's Trading System

Very interesting discussion points on here in the last day or so, good work all  I can see the merit of sitting on hands and letting a trade run and run. I suppose it is all about psychology and how an individual copes with a higher/ lower win rate. I can certainly see the merits of being...

This is what I found for original system, do you know any more about it Tomorton? or how you plan to implement it as a strategy? "Big Ben Strategy is a day trading strategy that takes advantages of the 24-hour trading possibility. It is meant to be used with GBP/USD mainly. According to that...

Best Thread The 3 Duck's Trading System

Looking back at the last trade i did the 60MA was a bit faraway even on a 5 minute time frame, I do agree though that this would definitely be a time to close out. I think any sensible plan to try and stay in the trade whilst progressively locking in profit is what it is all about though

I've never had much involvement with daily pivot points. I suppose the thing is that if you know the average daily range of a FX pair and how far it has travelled then it is possible to ascertain a reasonable target based on this. For instance if the 'Pretend FX pair' had an average daily range...

Nigel, looks like the Silver trade would have indeed been lovely. What would you have done for an exit target. I only ask as yesterday I did a 3 ducks style trade.. price quickly went 10 or so points in my favour (and I decided to remove risk and move stop to b/e).. it ran on to just over 20pts...

    Big Ben on the FTSE100

:) So what is the plan for Cable trades? Back to a range i.e 7am-8am or suchlike? Or fixed points? Let me know and i will join in. I am doing a couple of other things on Fx, i must admit that the FTSE sideways nature of late has made it very hard for a strategy such as BigBen, it needs...
