Yes I realise how risky they are, but I'm trying to actually calculate my risk if I do bet on one. I usually do around £1-2 per point, but I only go for shares in the FTSE 350 usually at 150p+

If I go long at £10 per point on a share that is only worth 15p, is the maximum I can possibly lose just 15 x 10 = £150?

Well I've just bought it from you. Made my first spread bet today using just charts, 10p a point on IG and made 35 points. Might have been just luck and now looking at the chart I could have made over a 100 but oh well.

I have seen many times posters on this forum that trading with the news is a no go zone. But why? Surely the current news, economic data, current affairs etc do make a big difference and ignoring them is a big mistake. At the end of the day all your trend lines, support levels and what not are...
