    Mark Austin FTSE Service

Hi Stephenag, You can find a pdf with results going back to February on Mark's website- here is the link to the page: http://www.markaustintrading.com/ftse-service.html These are the results for 'official' ,(SMS), alerts. In addition it is quite possible to place trades based on the daily...

    Mark Austin FTSE Service

Mark is at this very moment hosting a seminar in Dorking and I'm stuck in sunny Derbyshire so that would be some trick. I posted my original comments thinking I might help other tradrers and possibly discuss the service with fellow subscribers but I was obviously wasting my time. If anyone has...

Not quite sure what ITV1 news has to do with anything?

    Mark Austin FTSE Service

I was wondering if anyone else uses, or has used, Mark's email/SMS service? I find it really useful- you get an email every morning with analysis and possible trades, plus a heads up if an SMS alert is imminent. The SMS alerts are usually pretty good and are managed throughout the life of the...

    The Daily Index Trader

I wasn't actually suggesting it was a way to trade, merely that only one and not both indices have to move far enough to profit. Goodness me, we are a little pedantic on here aren't we?

    The Daily Index Trader

You have a point with your first comment, but #2 - hmmm, surely only needs Dax OR Cac to move far enough- a bit more likely?, #3) Agree 100%- You simply cannot trade 'blind'. As for the past 12 months results- these should be easy enough to qauntify as we know exactly what was traded and at...

    Sheffield traders & investors

Late November sounds good to me- count me in this time, (assuming I'm welcome, of course!)

    The Daily Index Trader

This is a good point and I have covered it many times on this and other forums, you need to carry out your own due diligence, don't just dive in blindfolded! Check for news announcements, trends, support/pivots, etc. If it looks like a flat or non-trending day- don't use DIT as you are likely to...

    ig index spreads are

Re: ig index spreads are **** They sure can be. I've used them for indices, shares, binaries & forex over the years and they always seem to move prices just that little bit more, especially after a trade signal has been sent out- you just try getting the price quoted!

I agree you can use stops and limits, but it would be very difficult to work out where CAC would be when DAX was stopped out and vice-versa to enter the prices. You could just use 3% and 6% away from the current price, (first to open, second to close), but long term I can't see this working any...

    The Daily Index Trader

I agree with this in theory, however DIT is supposed to allow one to enter a trade at a set time and then go about other business or manage the trade- whichever suits. Not everyone can watch for certain levels to be reached before entering a trade. I trade the FTSE using support/resistance...

Quite so Baldeagle- also don't forget that if Gekko quoted 2pts lower in line with IG then your stop would also have been two points lower, so you would still have been taken out. You are effectively asking Gekko to 'give' you 2pts Don't get me wrong, I've had problems with Gekko's platform and...

    The Daily Index Trader

On the subject of Mark/Martin, If Mark was trying to hide the fact that he was developing the system, why bother using his name at all? He could surely have just used another alias........

Will try and do a bit of digging regarding Mark Rose / Martin Carter.

    The Daily Index Trader

Hi Steve, I think the system is worth following, but I don't trade it everyday regardless- it's something I use along with other methods and I take what I've learned plus various daily info to decide whether to trade DIT or not. I've traded it twice over the last 6 days with one winner and one...
