I don't have a tradestation. Is it available for AmiBroker or WealthLab? As I understand (just from zip) there is a protected function, which makes all the decision - correct me, please, if I'm wrong. Then what's the point? Trade/simulate black box?

Trade simple rules. This is actually the best. Never overoptimize - Make out of sample tests. Make cross tests with the same parameters on other stocks. Know your maximum leverage (Kelly criteria). Never compare systems by their income. Personally I use only Sharpe for comparing.

All the ideas I got for trading I got though discussion - on forums, chats, facebook , etc. None of them was from the book, articles or bought somewhere =) All I do is choose, discuss and combine them to get my strategy. And I hope to get some new here =)

I trade from 2009 and feel very good. Average profit is 50% per year, drawdown is about 15% - 20% max. It is not HFT with highrocketing procents, but it IS possible to trade without tick data.

Yes. I get all intraday data from Finam web site.

If you buy low - it could become lower. If you sell high - it could become higher. In general it is bad strategy, unless you also use fundamental analysis.
