I am Mike - but changing to IG Index next week. As a matter of interest I ran the EA on FX Pro live and SLM live this morning both at 6.15. FXPro made the sell order spot on at the ideal level, SLM followed 30 seconds later with a 4.3 pip deficit. Proof if ever it was needed, I'd say. :thumbsdow

Hi Hammy - how do you do that, just change it yourself manually in the Inputs box?

1st day for me today on FMT - struck it lucky. Let the EA take the trade on default settings then shut the PC down whilst I went to work :o. Switched on just now to see it had taken 55 pips :D I assume this is because it reverted to the broker settings, and not gone to BE, as the PC was...

Not as simple as that though. is it? When you go to the currency exchange you are actually buying some currency, then when you come back from your hols in a couple of weeks time you exchange it back and, as you say, make a profit or loss - I can understand that :p. What I can't get my head...

    Newbies Broker Queries

Hi, I've been thinking about this some more. Excuse the dumb questions but, 1. Still confused about who we are winning the money from (or losing the money to ) when we're trading, if not the brokers. It's not like stocks n shares where you actually buy something from the market then sell...

    Newbies Broker Queries

Hi, Could anyone give me an idiots guide to how the brokers work, specifically 1. Are they like a bookmakers? ie If we win a trade, are we winning money directly from them? 2. I understand they make their 'commission' from the spread they're using, yet I've heard they're averse to scalping...
