It´s hard to stay focused and invest your valuable time if you´r trading with paper money. If you deposit real money, it gets a lot more interesting, you are not going to be able to stay away from the markets. At least that was the case for me :)

Sry, but why do you accept the price being in the spread? The brokers always get their commissions, and they get it from you, either from a direct fee or indirect=spread. It does not matter to you in the long run. I would use Interactive Brokers, but then again, I do not trade commodities.

Cashclay, try Suretrader. Google them, and do some research. Their customer service is total crap, but they have a lot of shares to short all the time, including penny stocks, if you trade them.

I personally don´t like forex. There are 100 million factors in play. I tried forex a while ago and felt like a boat with no paddles. Also it´s super easy to lose all your capital, as you have it leveraged 1:100 or more.
