Well given Richard made Wed 16th June a sell, I can't see why today is any different. Rather than use IG index to look at my charts I use other platforms that already round to 4 decimal places.....
Nope, +50 points for "true net trappers" was not available although from reading this forum it seems that "true net trappers" are already a dying breed.
+24 pips for me today but dang close to being stopped out. Will be interesting to see what Richard records for today as I reckon it will be -30 if he is using IG and following net trap to the letter. The bid price at 6.15 got to 14693 so sell orders should have been for 14691 which on IG would...
I had similar feedback to the above when I just called. They do maintain that as these trades are generally automated the high volume of orders should not prove an issue but I am now having my doubts. I have several spread betting accounts and they all have varying pros and cons. Capital Spreads...
This type of slippage is taking the biscuit. Although the ask price jumped past 14719, IG did have a price of 14719.3 and then 14719.7 available. If you change the timeframe on your chart from 15 minutes to tick by tick, you can see this. I'll give them another call shortly myself.....
Have you opened the chart on IG Index? If so it always defaults to the mid price so is not reflecting the true low point of each candle. Top left hand corner of your chart is option to change the "bid/ask selector" and you want bid price....
Hi Paul
Agreed not for smaller positions but only on trades greater than £150 per point prior to 7am should be affected. I have been told that prior to 7am that if I am betting say £200 per point to break the trade into 2 seperate trades of £50 and £150 to prevent the trade from getting...
The only other factor that might impact on the price you get dealt at is liquidity. From 9.30pm to 7am sometimes trades get referred through to their dealing desk before they get processed as IG have to ensure they are able to accept this level of exposure. I am told by IG that only trades on...
I entered manually today. £ not been this high 13th May so fingers crossed this does run out of steam in next 90 mins. Feeling a bit nervous about this one...
Have just spoken to a friend of mine who works at IG Index who has confirmed that multiple orders to open from hundreds of clients would have no bearing on any slippage incurred as their systems are perfectly capable of handling this. The only time slippage should occur is when the market is...
Nice start to the month. I have recently purchased Net Trap too but been spreadbetting for a while although usually not via an "order to open". For those of you using IG Index, are you noticing slippage regularly on your orders? My order got filled this morning at 14478.5 as opposed to 14480.
